Educator Training Workshops show you how to integrate students’ creativity, interests, gifts and passions into your program.  This process can be used with any curriculum or source of study, maximizing your students’ learning experience as you focus on igniting passion and nurturing personal brilliance within your existing educational structure.

Educator Training Workshops are broken into two separate series of training sessions which are designed to be taken sequentially:

1st Series:  Unit I Interest
2nd Series: Unit II Passion and Unit III Brilliance.

Materials:  Each participant will receive a copy of the Educator’s Essential Guide to be used throughout both educator training series.

Process: We use the acronym EMAP to represent our step-by-step process: Expose, Monitor, Assess and Provide the Next Step.  Each unit will take you through all four of the EMAP steps.

In each of the EMAP’s in Unit I and Unit II in the Educator’s Essential Guide, you will find four sections:
Quick Reference Guide
Fact Summary Sheet
Exploratory Curricular Activity
Lesson Plan Worksheet

The Quick Reference Guide gives you a synopsis of the information presented in the beginning of each EMAP in The Essential Guide and Workbook.  This information will help you execute the corresponding EMAPs in the The Educator’s Guide. (For more detailed information, refer to The Workbook section listed in bold at the beginning of each Quick Reference Guide.)

The Fact Summary Sheet is a summary of the information you gathered about your child as you journaled your observations and did the activities presented in The Essential Guide and Workbook. You will use this fact sheet as a guide to help you create your Curricular Exploratory Activities and Lesson Plans.

The Exploratory Curricular Activity is a worksheet designed to help you brainstorm activities based on your individual student’s interests and passions. The goal of this activity is to help you develop as many activities as possible to incorporate your students’ interests and passions into your curriculum and learning environment.  You will use the activities you identify in this exercise to build your lesson plans and guide your direction in the next step. We recommend you save your Exploratory Curricular Activities in a notebook for further planning and reference.

Lesson Plan Worksheet is designed to help you create a detailed map, identifying exactly what you hope each student will learn and how.  This template will help you keep track of the subject, skill and content area you wish to cover, and the interests and passions you hope to develop and integrate into your child’s learning activity.  It will help you identify and clarify your individual student’s learning objectives, define the outcome you would like to see, and record which activities you used to reach your goals. It provides a record for future reference of the materials and resources you used to get there, including your evaluation and recommendations, if any, to improve the activity.

In Unit III of The Educator’s Guide, you will find four sections of additional reference guides with an activity plan and checklists for each.
