This is very true! Sometimes, as parents, we need to get outside of our comfort zones to reach them. How many of you have been playing Pokemon Go with your teen(s)?! I certainly have, and we have had so much fun spending time together. Wandering the city gives you many opportunities to connect about other issues. What do you do to reach your teens?

Pay him to be with me? Just kidding , sort of. I have helped him to launch his own business. He cannot legally sign binding contracts yet, so he needs me to be a part of it. I pitch in for legal signatures, discuss strategies, pinch hit when necessary, and generally keep it from being overwhelming. Then it’s just like you say, we talk about things naturally during our activities. Also traveling/camping is great if you can afford it. For a teen though, I especially think it’s important to invite a friend/friends of his/ours to travel with us.
